Honeysuckle Cottage is a delightful one bedroom cottage tucked
away down a private road which overlooks the Shimmings Valley in the ancient market town of Petworth which goes back to Medieval
Times Petworth is in West Sussex in an area of outstanding beauty soon to enjoy National park status, yet only a 30 minute
drive to Chichester and the beautiful beaches on The West Sussex coast. In Petworth there are lots of charming old buildings,
winding lanes, cobbled streets and of course Petworth House (owned by The National Trust) where many of JMW Turners masterpieces
were painted. Petworth Park was designed by Capability Brown and has 700 acres of beautiful countryside for you to enjoy all
year round. In the summer months it hosts many music and theatre events during Petworth Festival. Goodwood House is a
short drive away and hosts many sporting events including Glorious Goodwood, Vintage week, Revival of Speed and The Festival
of Speed. So much to see is close by. Arundel and its magnificent Castle, Nelsons 'Victory' in Portsmouth, The
Elizabethan Mansion in Parham and West Dean Gardens are all close by. Petworth is situated 50 miles from London and one
hours drive from Gatwick and Heathrow Airports. If you wish totravel by train there are two mainline stations close by; Haslemere
and Pulborough (20 min by taxi)

Local pubs within walking distance, the town centre is five
minutes walk and is steeped in history and culture, there is always something going on. Regular Farmers markets visit
the town. In the winter months an Old Fashinoned fun fair visits the Market Square every St Edmunds Day (20th November) and
in December there is a real Christmas feel when local shops open late with Carols and Christmas lights. Petworth is renowned
for the countrys finest Antiques but scattered amongst them you will find designer boutiques, individual gift shops, local
produce, interior and home furnishing shops offering good old fashined service. Petworth has a supermarket, post office,
bakers, delicattessen, butchers, newsagent and 2 banks as well as Chinese and Indian takeaway. After a long day shopping
or walking there are plenty of tea, coffee houses to stop at or if you want fine dining there are many restaurants and pubs
